Code of Conduct
The GiaMed culture is based on trust, mutual respect, high standards of professional conduct and ethics to ensure we achieve our goals. We rely on the sound judgment of our employees, associates, and agents to comply with the law, act with integrity, and safeguard the company’s reputation in every situation. GiaMed is committed to conducting business in line with the law, our policies, and procedures and by adhering to a Code of Conduct, the integrity of GiaMed and its employees will not be compromised.

The Code of Conduct encompasses laws, business practices, policies/procedures and serves as an educational tool for GiaMed and its employees so that they can then apply this knowledge to their everyday work life. By choosing to work with GiaMed, you agree to learn, understand, support, and abide by the Code of Conduct. Failing to do so, puts you, the company, and your co-workers at risk which can ultimately lead to disciplinary action and/or termination.

Code of Conduct Overview

  • The Code of Conduct applies to GiaMed’s employees, officers, and independent third parties hired by or working with GiaMed. The Code of Conduct outlines our expectations of those with whom we do business.
  • The information contained on this webpage is strictly an overview of the Code of Conduct. Please consult the terms of your employment contract and GiaMed Employee Handbook for more in depth information regarding the Code of Conduct.
  • Supervisors and managers are required to set the example by adhering to the Code of Conduct and to monitor, enforce, support, and report non-compliance.
  • GiaMed prohibits retaliation or discrimination against an employee who makes a good faith effort to report a violation or who participates in an investigation of any such report. GiaMed will take the appropriate action when notified of concerns of this nature.
  • GiaMed is opposed to human trafficking and forced labor in any form.
  • GiaMed employees must take appropriate measures to ensure their personal, financial, or political endeavors do not create a conflict of interest with the work they’ve been hired to perform on behalf of GiaMed. This includes relationships that GiaMed has established with clients and vendors. All conflicts of interest or the potential thereof must be disclosed to a GiaMed supervisor or Compliance Officer so that they can determine the level of risk and implement a plan of action to resolve such matters.
  • During the course of your employment, you may receive information or assist in the development of information for GiaMed or its clients that is confidential and/or proprietary. GiaMed employees will not disclose this confidential, proprietary and/or government sensitive information during or after their employment with GiaMed and will abide by all applicable laws and regulations.
  • GiaMed employees and family members may not offer, solicit, or accept gifts or money from a client, vendor, or supplier that can be construed as trying to influence the other party. GiaMed’s business practices are based on fair and reasonable decisions and the giving and/or acceptance of gifts, meals, and/or entertainment can impair these relationships.
  • GiaMed and its employees are committed to complying with the following:
    • Antitrust laws which were developed to promote free and open competition in the marketplace.
    • Legal and fair business practices.
    • Accurate and thorough record keeping and accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and principles.
    • Applicable labor recording policies and procedures.
    • Established protocol when doing business with government entities.
    • Ensuring all statements made to government officials are accurate and to the best of our knowledge as per the False Claims Act.
    • The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) which requires mandatory and timely disclosure of information in the event that GiaMed has credible evidence that a violation has been committed in connection to an award, performance, or closeout of a government contract or subcontract.
    • Laws surrounding local, State, and Federal regulatory bodies.

What to do………
If you find that you have encountered an unethical or illegal situation or behavior while at work, GiaMed is committed to providing you with a comfortable method for which you can seek advice or report your concerns. Confidentiality will be maintained to the fullest extent while keeping in mind what is in the best interest of the employee, our company, and GiaMed’s obligation to act ethically and responsibly.

Communicating Concerns
GiaMed’s goal is to always provide high quality service. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with our service or the service provided by one of our healthcare providers, we encourage you to contact your assigned Program Manager to discuss the issue. GiaMed has processes in place to resolve complaints in an effective and efficient manner. If the resolution does not meet your expectation, we encourage you to call the GiaMed corporate office at 954-651-9022. GiaMed also provides alternative reporting mechanisms of a Hotline number, 866-828-4005, and an online form for anonymous reporting directed to the Compliance Program. A corporate representative will work with you to resolve your concern.
