Don’t Text and Drive
GiaMed is committed to educating employees on the dangers of texting and driving. Distracted drivers pose a deadly risk to everyone on
the road. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that in 2012 driver distraction was the cause of 18 percent
of all fatal crashes. The top 5 distractions for drivers are:
- Text messaging
- Talking on cell phone
- Eating and drinking
- Accessing the internet
- Adjusting the stereo
